How to Lose weight

What’s stopping you from taking control of your life? What’s stopping you from getting your energy, a sense of purpose and confidence in yourself back? What’s stopping you?

You are.

The only reason why you haven’t lost weight is not because you lack the time, expertise or effort to do it but because you have not decided to start. The decision to start is the first thing you must do, everything on this planet, from the light bulb created by Thomas Edison to the Electric car inspired by the creative mind of Elon Musk started with a decision.

But is a decision all you need? NO.

Every decision must be followed by massive action and reason behind it. A lot of people never achieve their goals of losing weight because they quit after the first three weeks because they have not seen any tangible results. That’s because a lot of people only start with a palpable goal instead of a WHY, you only look to lose a certain number of pounds because you are letting a number define you. You quit because you looked in the mirror and let the image you see distract you from the bigger picture.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT?

Let’s skip the seemingly good sounding answer that 80 % of my personal training clients tell me, which is “I want to be healthy”. I know it’s true, but is that WHY you finally made the decision to start? There is a guarantee that you wanted to be healthy your entire life but is that the one thing the sparked the massive action you took to get a gym membership, find a personal trainer or start exercising. I don’t think so, I think you’re fed up. You’re tired of the situation you’ve found yourself stuck in, you’re tired of coming to your spouse and being too tired to interact, you’re tired of being tired walking everywhere. You’re tired of feeling low energy, low confidence, and low interaction with yourself. You’re sick and tired of being sick, weak and tired. I know, I feel you.

But listen to me, WHY DO YOU WANT THIS? Is it for your spouse, your eight-year-old self, your children? What is YOUR WHY? The thing is I cannot help you with that, that’s something you must look deep within to find and become self-aware if you are going to make a change. Listen to me, I am asking you to take the time to sit and figure out why you want to lose weight.

Every time you feel like giving up, think of that why. Every time you want to cheat on eating healthy, think of that why. Every time, you don’t feel like exercising, don’t feel like going to the gym, think of that why. Have a picture of that WHY so embedded behind your eyelids that you will never close your eyes and sleep. I want you live and breathe for that WHY, every day, no matter what.

God didn’t intend for you to be overweight, obese or unsatisfied. You made that decision, but now you have a chance to make a different decision, a chance to take back control of your life!
